I am a 74 years old retired scientist (Molecular Biology), married with 3 sons and 5 grand children. I was born in Bulgaria and moved to the USA when I was 50. I love mountains and have done my share of hiking , climbing and skiing in my time; I still do it although I have slowed down quite a bit.

I own a mountain cabin in the vicinity of Westcliffe, Colorado located at 9400 ft. and another cabin at Okeover Inlet at the mouth of Desolation Sound in British Columbia, Canada. A large part of the pictures shown here have been taken at these two locations and also around Lafayette, CO where my wife Christina and I reside permanent ly.

I have been taking pictures since I was 12. I am a Pentax guy and have owned and used most of Pentax film cameras. Recently I switched to digital and got a Samsung GX10 (Identical to Pentax K10D) which have enable me to continue using the superb Pentax optics I own.

To me Photography is a means for preserving the beauty of the places I have been to, share it with my friends and also to revisit my past as my memory is getting inevitably weaker.
