Photography and the passion to capture the beauty of the world that I view, pulses through my veins and has done since 1971 when, aged seven, and with David Bowie's new album 'Hunky Dory' filling my ears, twenty one inch flared denim jeans adorning my legs, my father gave me an old Box Brownie as a toy to play with. Pocket money saved, I purchased a roll of 120 black and white film, and a love affair began that is still strong to this day.

  

The colour has left my hair, the spring has left it's step, and life has tainted my enthusiasm and belief in good, but behind the lens I am still a seven year old boy filled with wonderment and joy. A lifelong Nikon camera user from film days to the digital era, I have owned and shot more cameras and Nikkor lenses that I care to remember, and with family spread worldwide, chiefly in British Columbia, Canada and England, my penchant for water based sunrise and sunset shots is an unashamed passion.

  

I am very proud to say that GETTY IMAGES have become my sole agents with worldwide sales of my photographs exclusively through them, it has taken many years to find success, and I am so very grateful that it finally found me. I have also published three collected books of my photographs and have been published in magazines and online around the globe.

  

I truly believe that photographers view the world in an entirely different way to those who neither gather up a camera in their hands, nor ever take the time to watch a sunrise or sunset. The minutia of detail enthralls me, drives me, and life through the lens makes me whole, complete, at peace with myself and the world.
