Misanthropic photographer, flâneur, cynic. I am over sixty-five, married, young-at-heart, well-mannered, broad-minded, with eyes wide open and an overactive imagination. I enjoy taking photographs while walking around. I love big cities and small towns. I appreciate nature, the countryside, beaches and oceans and lakes. I have an aesthetic appreciation for photography of the bare human body in all aspects. I have an aversion to misogyny, homophobia, crudeness, violence and derogatory behaviour. I respect women and women photographers. I prefer good photography made by non-professional photographers. I have no interest in AI-generated images and I don't join groups that allow AI-generated images. Unless specified, all photography is my own.

Thanks very much to ambientlight.ca for posting a web page summarizing Canadian Photography Laws.

"In Toronto, you can take photographs on public property, like side walks. This includes taking photos of anything that a normal person could see from public property."

I loathe and block people that post stolen photography, or those that do not share any public photos.

People that share AI-generated images should, as a courtesy to members of the Flickr community, set the Content type for these images to "Illustration/Art". I believe Flickr should create a separate category, as artists that create real art and real illustration should not be bundled together with people that share AI-generated images. Thank you.

Testimonials

He is an astute observer and documenter of oft ignored details. Always a pleasure to peruse his pictures and look through his lens.

Subtle and subversive, designwallah's keen eye finds irony in the urban and melancholy in the urbane.

He's simply the best to find street art.
