DesignBuildBLUFF is a program implemented by the College of Architecture + Planning at the University of Utah in 2001. Graduate students and faculty in the program work with the Navajo Housing Authority in choosing a native Navajo family each fall semester for which they will design a “green” home. In the spring, these same students move to Bluff, Utah and start with the construction of the design. When construction is complete, the house is then donated at no cost to the family. www.designbuildbluff.org.
