Hi, my name is Marco and I’m addicted to photography.

 

What else is there to know about me? Well I’m in my mid thirties, married to a beautiful woman and father of two adorable children.

 

I started getting addicted to the Interestingness stream here on Flickr in the midst of 2009. By the end of the year I was charged and ready to dive head first into photography. I bought a DSLR along with some Strobist stuff and started to recreate what I prefer and love to view: portraits. I was never interested in taking pictures of landscapes, architecture or still lifes. It was portraiture all along. I fixed up an unused storage room in our cellar to be my very own little photo studio and started practicing with every decent looking person I could get in front of my lens.

 

Now, over a year later, I'm still practicing and hopefully, no, knowingly will never stop learning. I have shifted my photographic interests towards the possibilities of creative editing lately. I love that there are no more boundaries to my creativity and I love to push myself a little further with every single image I create. I’ve started a 52 weeks project for the sole purpose of expanding my skills in the art of digital editing.

Every picture makes me green with envy- I could never execute photos like him, let alone think of such unique ideas. Marco understands light. And if anyone out there claims they understand light and aren't Marco, they don't. Every single spot is perfectly lit and fits in with the rest of the work. I never notice a flaw.
