Former petroleum geologist, real estate salesman, and technical writer; then structural drafter, mostly of bridges. Retired from a major engineering firm 2022 and started a part-time relationship, doing exactly the same kind of work, with the Colorado Dept. of Transportation. Retired from that, July, 2024.

Mostly photograph flowers, mushrooms, landscapes, animals, waterfalls, rock formations, bridges and buildings (and now grandchildren). Began digital photography about 16 years ago with a Canon S2is. Once mostly used a Canon T3i with 4 lenses, but purchased a Panasonic Lumix ZS70 "travel camera" to lighten the load.

I've become interested in lichens of the genus Cladonia (pixie cups) and created the group: "Cladonias of the World".

My group "PBWA (Photography by Wandering About)" has really taken off, with over 600,000 images.

"Front Range Parks" has brought together nature and wildlife photographers in the Denver Metro and nearby areas.

"Geology of Colorado and Wyoming" includes more than 3000 images of the spectacular geology of these 2 states.
