I am a Canadian artist currently living in Belleville, Ont. I am now retired following a career in Toronto based on architecture and construction. Presently, I paint as a hobby, sometmes on a commission basis. Often a sample collection of my pieces are shown in local venues. A few pieces are available as prints or as note/greeting cards. Titles followed by (s) are pieces which have been sold. Usual topics are cityscapes and landscapes. Although I study and have studied under several qualified artists, I am for the most part, self-taught and I enjoy learning by experiment and from others. I am a former member of The Willowdale Group of Artists and the Belleville Art Association. I am a member of The Quinte Arts Council and if you visit the ( QAC) website You will find information about the group, its function and about all of the current member artists ( visual, performing, authors and others ). Historically, I have leaned towards realistic painting techniques. However, with several newer projects I am striving to create images that have a more impressionistic feel. Most recently, ( late 2016)I discovered Chili Thom, a young Canadian just past away. What a fascinating, creative soul.
