In this topsy-turvy world, there is precious little that is certain, but the one thing that I am certain of, that is the bedrock conviction that provides the basis for my view of the world, is that Dennis Dixon is the finest photographer that mankind has ever, or will ever, produce. Diptychs, Triptychs, multiple exposures, toy cameras, bouncing flash—good lord! I consider myself fortunate if I remember to point the lens in the proper direction and remove the lens cap. The amount of effort and personal sacrifice that Dennis puts in to a single photograph is most likely sufficient to make him eligible for beatification. And what does he ask in return? What does he receive for making these arresting images available around the world to everyone with an Internet connection, and a government that doesn't gratuitously censor images? Nothing. You've done nothing for him, yet he does all this work for your enjoyment and edification for no recompense whatsoever.
