I've come to realize that every photo that we take and share is a self-portrait. I seek beauty and understanding in images and words reflecting peace, contemplation, sensuality, or the human condition.

I'm a retired psychologist. The last phase of my career was devoted to psychological counseling with HIV/AIDS patients as a member of a medical team. That shaped my appreciation of life, nature, peace, and people.

Nearly all of my Flickr photos were taken with a Panasonic G-1 Micro Four Thirds camera. Many were shot with the kit 14-45 lens, but I have added the Lumix 20mm 1.7 "pancake" prime lens as of 2012, and more recently two legacy film camera lenses made by Zeiss Jena. Most photos have had at least minor adjustments in Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop, and a few have major modifications. Many were taken on walks in my Portland, Oregon neighborhood. Write me at Flickr for whatever reason.

Since 2016, I have focused primarily on writing poetry.
