I am a 65-plus year old "semi-retired" amateur photographer living in northeast Ohio.

I began taking pictures in my late teens. During my 20's and 30's I worked at a variety of small daily and weekly newspapers. By its very nature, that meant I wrote, edited and photographed stories. I also took pictures of things of interest on the side.

I got away from photography for a while during the 1990's, only to pick up the hobby again during the last 15 years.

My photostream reflects my life…. and features my family (both real, church and "adopted"), vacation travels and daily living.

My first camera when I started seriously taking pictures in 1971 was a shutter priority Petri FTEE. Since then I've had a Nikon EM and a Canon T-50.

Since 1999, I've picked up several SLR's, a Nikon FE and a F90, and two Nikon Pronea APS (a Pronea S and a Pronea 6i). Currently the cameras that gets regular use is a Nikon D50 and a Nikon D200. I also have a Nikon D-70, which I’ve recently acquired for the 50 mm normal lens.

Currently, I use an iPhone 11 for picture taking. One of these days I’ll return to using a - real - camera.

I am at "a certain age" which typically does not "do" social media. I joined flickr in 2014 in order to share my photographs. Just recently, I've taken to using flickr seriously, digging through digital archives on my computer to find pictures which I find interesting (and hope that you do, too).

I appreciate all my fellow photogs who have followed my photostream over the past several months. I appreciate all the comments and constructive criticism received.
