I am a semi-retired freelance photographer based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama (a suburb of Birmingham).

Community activities:

Currently serving my third 6-year term on the Vestavia Hills Planning and Zoning Commission

Chairman, Vestavia Hills Cahaba Heights Community Development Committee

Served a 3-year term on the Alabama State Board of Examiners for Assisted Living Administrators.

For over 20 years, my wife and I did a live radio broadcast each month for the Alabama Radio Reading Service for the Visually Impaired.

I still accept photo assignments if the subject matter and potential clients interest me. Over the years I've photographed sports (several awards), news, editorials, advertisements, architectural (interior and exterior), nature (another award-winning side), artwork, scientific, and most recently, all types of dance.

My photos have been published in over 1,000 magazines, books, and no one knows how many web sites.

Hope you enjoy my photos. The ones I post here are deliberately LOWER-res images. They might make a decent print if you copied them ... providing, of course, that you don't want anything bigger than a postage stamp for a print.
