25-year-old professional Brazilian ballet dancer, Deise Mendonça, studied at the Bolshoi Ballet School in Brazil for 8 years, where she became a principal ballerina and worked for Bolshoi Ballet in Brazil for almost 2 years. During that time, she was a guest dancer for ‘Summer Night Dream’ with Alla Scala Theater. Subsequently, she worked at the Ballet de Santiago in Chile, under the direction of Marcia Haydée, for a period of three years. Presently, Deise is a principal dancer with State Street Ballet, in Santa Barbara, CA. [under O-1 Exceptional Arts Visa.]

Deise is accomplished in classic, neoclassic, contemporary and Latin styles.

Her career has brought her the opportunities to work with the following choreographers and rehearsal coaches: Vladimir Vassiliev, Ekaterina Maximova, Ben Stevenson, Marcia Haydée, Nancy Bielsky, Galina Kozlova, Ludmila Sinelnikova, Galina Kravchenko, Nina Speranskaya, Denys Nevidomyy, Sergio Lobato, Robert Sound, Bill Soleau and Henry Talmah, among others.
