Starting taking pics 35+ years ago with an Olympus Trip, then moved up to 35mm SLR (Olympus OM20). Trained as a Police photographer using medium format (Pentax) SLR's. When photographing crime scenes 'artistic' composition wasn't really an issue (!) so now I'm enjoying seeing with a more artistic eye. Used to do a fair bit of B&W darkroom work & still do my own B&W developing. Use mostly digital now but occasionally load up a film camera for a bit of nostalgia. My favourite genre is street photography.
In July 2010 I was awarded the Licentiate Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS). I am also qualified as a regional photographic judge (WCPF).
