I am rediscovering photography after 30+ years of doing very little with it. I got a digital point & shoot in August '07 and haven't stopped since. I think I am not alone when I say I find the digital format to be very freeing!

I am very grateful to those on Flickr who are willing to share their process and know-how. I learn a lot from looking, looking, looking at photos, but I learn even more from those confident souls who freely share/explain their process and "tricks." The honest, constructive feedback I have received from Flickr members helps me to consider my work in a new light and is always welcomed and encouraged.

UPDATE 2011-11: Here I am four years later with the same little point&shoot. It has served me well, but I am now longing for a DSLR with different lenses, especially wide angle and macro. I have outgrown what I have without yet being able to afford the next step up. Someday - soon I hope!
