he only 16 year old singer/songwriter Dee Dee York lives in Asten, The Netherlands. Dee Dee composes and writes her own songs. The arrangements are created with her band and coach. Her style give songs a pop/rock character. Sometimes sensitive and subtle, then again with a spiky rock sound. The name Dee Dee York is an inspiration of her birth name Danielle Das and place of birth. Dee Dee is born on June 7, 1991 in North York Canada and moved with her family to The Netherlands,when she was three years old. Dee Dee started to rehearse with her own band in May 2006. She wrote a collection of songs for her first album which was recorded in October 2007 at the PVM studio in Deurne, The Netherlands, under supervision of Cor Mutsers (Ilse de Lange) and Peter Vincent. When performing on stage, focus is on her own material however, Dee Dee loves to sing and play music of Avril Lavigne, Edie Brickell, Lisa Cerbone, Alanis Morissette, etc.
