Ta dah!! I'm the first, I'm the first. Dee is awesome. She has it all. Brains, beauty, an easy laugh, and a great boyfriend. One of my (many) favorite Dee qualities is that she is a forever student. Not like the ones that go from graduate program to graduate program and never get a real job, but like the ones who have a career and are constantly taking courses to stay up to date or ahead of the curve, like the ones who take courses just because they're interested. Dee is interested. That seems like a small thing, but it's huge. The clearest sign of aging and death, to me, is lack of interest. Dee is about 100 years away from even starting to age. She has the enthusiasm and joy of life of a teenager. Dee is an amazing friend. First of all, she is a devoted reader of my ridiculous blog, and she always leaves comments, which I love. Her comments are funny, thoughtful, serious, silly, whatever. But she is always present in my life somehow. We talk, email, exchange articles, check out each other's pictures, you name it. She teaches me to be a better friend each day. We always always have fun together, even if it's driving by a field of cows. Ok, especially driving by a field of cows. Dee, you are a miracle.
