Minimalist, portrait, architecture, everything falls inside a special treatment, a weird and unexpected angle, but sounding anyhow familiar, like a memory's print, a blue musical note growing inside of us. Lenses and technics disappears, opening doors to the crazy pixel landscapes offered - colors may explode, lines may be broken, there is always a status or a comment, helping you to find a neighbourhood, a complicity.... My tribute gallery to your work: www.flickr.com/ph... We often think of photographs as instants in time, moments captured. One of the things I notice most in Cheridan's images is how often they bring together contrasting states or ideas - solidity and fluidity, permanence and the fleeting, design and imperfection, the strong and the fragile ... So many of her pictures are visual intersections, where two worlds meet, and a fascinating visual dialogue ensues. I also admire her expert compositional eye, with its particular love of edges and corners, details cut off and generous areas of quiet, negative space. Often I can't quite articulate why the images work so well, but they do, again and again. This particular selection is bathed in the gorgeous range of warm greens, blues, and dirty golds which feel to me her signature palette. Swimming through her stream is a real delight.

This so called illusion or the dream we are dreaming is captured in a whole new light by a rather observant witness through her own unique way. Simplicity and complexity, where everyday objects are seen in so many different ways. Here is a world I like to visit often, or more so a space I like to walk in, seen from a perspective that fascinates me, challenges me and inspires, what good photography is all about in my mind. Cheridan's art caught me the moment I arrived and why I keep coming back for more.
