I describe myself as a US Aussie, born in the USA (I'm one of those California Girls, lol) but grew up on the west coast of Australia in Western Australia. Spent time on 3300 acre farm at Yandanooka, went to boarding school in Geraldton then the family moved to Perth, where I attended Como Senior High and worked for 15 years analysing food and water.

Bought my first camera in 1981 in Hong Kong (best prices around a the time) on the way to 10 weeks in Europe with my BFF. I had a Pentax ME Super with a bunch of lenses that all got stolen in 1994 when I forgot my camera bag was on the ground at a photo shoot and I drove away. 20 minutes later I returned but it had already been taken!

I bought a Pentax PZ1 which I still have but I love the immediacy of digital and now use a Nikon D80. Main drawback I find on this camera is the limit bracketing sequence of only 3 shots. I love doing HDR so this is kinda limiting.
