Hiya folks... Being an artist is a vague thing to declare; not in doing...but in telling; it's much easier being a plumber, an engineer or doctor. When you say "I'm a plumber", everyone knows what you do; same with a doctor or engineer; most know why you do it and can probably accurately guess how much money you make doing it. When you announce, “I’m an Artist”, peoples minds tend to go mad and you can see all these questions building up and spreading out to the ends of their hair. Still, everyday I proclaim, "I'm an Artist."

For a long time I was a shameless malcontent, misanthropic, periodic insomniac but now I'm a real sweetie with a blue collar heart who gets plenty of sleep keeps searching for forever love, because I know being "footloose and fancy free" is highly over-rated and am forever convinced that Vinny had a very good reason to cut off his ear (and dare you to prove otherwise).

 

Lust and a Miata brought Marcy (my dog) and me to the Carolinas but my desire to meet people who secretly pretend that their bikes are ponies; love that I am charmingly insane; forgive me for saying inappropriate things at inappropriate times; and believe in wondrous things kept me in the south.

 

Currently I live in the spirit of Vincent Van Gogh's "Studio of the South" dream, halfway between Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC in a little yellow house , near a natural waterfall, that serves as home and creative studio, where wondrous art is created, stories are told, gardens are grown , dogs sleep, berries are picked, brownies are baked, soup is made, coffee is sipped, dreams are dreamt, and everyone is welcome.
