Life looks so much better through a lens!

My Dad got me into this when I was only 6 - having a darkroom(small cellar with black out blind) where we did contact prints. That was real photography! No room for correcting mistakes in those days. Loved the smell of fixer. Went on to a beautiful Zorki 10 having started with the classic Kodak Instamatic.

I then splashed out all i could for a Olympus OM10 - a joy and so much fun I wore out three shutters worth. Played with a Canon EOS before finally giving in to a digital..will give it a go- love my Canon and it is a work horse .. But is it the photography I loved?

Slides still look better on screen to me. But digital is growing on me ... like lichen on a rock. Enjoy being able to experiment cheaply and love taking shots of gigs, landscapes and the craziness of some city life.

Presently my Canon second hand thing is great and allows me the freedom of RAW files which I can prat about with in various ways.

Still love the art form which is photography.

Still no good at it.

But learning after 45 years.

I'll crack this.....
