at 35, i find myself living in west hollywood, am fond of taking the world in by foot (aka actually walking in LA!), subscribe to spunk and sarcasm as a code of life, and have an unabashedly giddy-yet-dark-as-soot sense of humor... while having recently come to believe that i am actually a very kind person at the core.

i started taking photos because, to me,

every picture says

"i love you"

that is to say, taking the time to capture a moment for someone else is a gift. i presented my pals with "presents" of their present moments (so soon to be their treasured past) to keep and revisit in the future.

and somehow, after many thousands of photo "presents," i think i'm starting to develop a perspective all my own. i've always been overboiling with creativity of a performance art variety, but never thought i had any other sort. to watch my photos get better and be proud of my growth has turned into what feels like a gift to myself.

besides capturing a special moment, reflections are probably my favorite thing to shoot. and my hamster, of course. ;)
