I started as a caddy, by carrying my wife's gear and following her around at weddings. I eventually started shooting with the backup camera and soon become a "second shooter" for my wife (while still carrying her gear). These days it's a much more equal partnership. We still shoot weddings together, but no longer with the primary and secondary roles -- more as two primary photographers who share the lead.

... and for the record, I still carry her gear. But I love it.
