If you are alive, it will mean something to you, and if you care enough about photography, and if you know how to use it, you will want to photograph that meaningness.” ~Paul Strand One can tell by viewing Brett’s photostream just how “alive” he is; his photos radiate extraordinary beauty and meaningness. He has a seemingly unstoppable enthusiasm for life and photography -- it is contagious and inspiring! After visiting his photostream, it makes one want to grab his/her camera and get right out there and shoot. He is hard hardworking and dedicated in his efforts to be a professional photographer, and yet he is not afraid to experiment and have fun with this medium. He has a spirit of adventure in all he does -- one can only imagine the twinkle in his eye as he sets up some of his very creative miniature scenes. His appreciation and passion for the aesthetic is evident in his sets of flowers and roses. They show the richness of his surroundings and his celebration of it. His macro shots are pure joy, and threaten to momentarily take one’s breath away! Brett is adept at seeing, sensing, and observing the world with an artist’s eye -- his approach rewards the viewer -- his photos, his art, can only bring pleasure and added depth to ones life.

Brett is...well, sort of an icon to me. He is about my age. He still has cool toys and takes wondrous photos of them. He works at the Wildlife WayStation, which suits his passion for animals to a T. He is polite, quiet but gregarious, generous with comments and visits. He is a good person -- on the top of my list of flickrfolk I'd love to meet in person! His stream is a grand playground.
