I started out as a rare breed of Pentax users. Of course back in the sixties in the days of David Bailey Pentax was what Canon is now! Originally I worked my way through a number of early Pentax DSLR's ending with the Pentax K-3 which I used with a variety of lenses sometimes including old manual lenses like the Tamron Adaptall series, for example. Most of my wildlife shots were with a Pentax 300mm prime lens, a Pentax 100mm Macro often with the excellent Pentax 1.4x TC. Recently I have been using a Nikon D7200 and a Sigma 150-600mm which gives me more reach and faster focusing for action shots.
My general aim is to enjoy wildlife and be out and about, take nice pictures and meet like minded people who enjoy the natural world. Now mainly use Nikon D500 and Sigma 150-600mm but still have my K3. I have finally progressed to Mirrorless (Canon) which is taking time for me to adapt to. I like many of the features but in some areas I preferred my D500.
