Simply put, I enjoy using still photography to share something special and also ordinary, a moment, a gesture, a look, a situation, a feeling, a thought. The experience of travel, a unique structure, memorable location, a special event. My efforts at photography are only limited by what I am able to witness and record.

In this collection you will find various classes of photographs: street, travel, landscape, portrait, architecture, concert. My preference is toward recording people and things naturally, and events as they occur. I shoot mostly candid and in natural light. No elaborate planning, posing or lighting required.

My tools include both film and digital SLR cameras as well as newer model digital rangefinder cameras. I have recently taken the plunge into the mirrorless world and anticipate that much of my new work will be shot in this realm. I love using color slide film and both black and white and color negative film. In the digital realm I shoot RAW and each photo's subject determines the choice of either color or black and white (or both!). Photoshop and related software provide the tools I require for post-processing and I continue to incorporate more of their capabilities in my photography.
