My name is Rob Cooper, son of the late Donald Cooper. I've created this Flickr site to enable family and friends to enjoy the many photos my dad created during his time here.

My dad bought his Kodak Retina Ia while serving with the 48th Highlanders in Germany in the early 1950's. He used that camera to capture thousands of images, mostly of family functions and vacations, well into the 1980's. He moved into a Ricoh 35mm SLR, then a Minolta Maxum 7000 and then to a couple of Canon Rebel digital cameras.

The task of scanning all of his photos is a huge one, however it's one that I accept with honour. It won't be done overnight and very well may take years to complete. I invite you to check back every so often for updates.

Each photo will be scanned and presented as it was in it's respective album. If there is writing on the back of the photo, that will follow the original image numerically. For simplicity, each album will be in it's own set.

Please feel free to enjoy all of my dad's photos and if there is something that you would like to print, or just to keep digitally on your computer, you're more than welcome to copy the photo.
