I'm a student at the University of Alberta, for a Bachelor of Design in the Department of Art and Design. I currently am working for a photography studio in Edmonton, Alberta, where I have lived all my life.
Though I have lived in Edmonton since I was born, it's certainly not the only place I have been - I pursue travel as an important part of my life, and have begun to take a serious interest in Travel and Underwater Photography. I have shot Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, California, The Bahamas and Hawaii in a serious way, and have plans for an extended dive trip and travel around Australia in 2010.
As well as photography, my other interests include drawing, which I am also studying in school. Traditional medium such as charcoal is a staple of my work, but I also enjoy the challenge of conceptual artwork conveyed in different mediums. Some sculpture and painting has crept in as a part of my education, which I also enjoy.
I am a National Level Synchronized Swimmer and have been training on the University Team for three years now. I also coach synchro as a part time job.
Please feel free to view my work and comment on it - as a practicing artist, I value criticism as a way of improving my skills.
Of course, permission is needed for use of my photos, so please ask.
