Been taking photos since the 1950's starting with an old Kodak box camera, then a Kodak Brownie 127.

Love to tinker with old cameras and try to get at least one set of photos from each of them.

Now retired from running my own photography company and getting back to basics, particularly building and using a variety of pinhole cameras.

I know a lot of folks who are passionate about cameras and camera collecting, yet have little or no interest in experiencing what the camera is made for --- the creation of a photograph. Likewise, I know endless photographers who are masters with the little boxes, but use equipment built by others, and never experience creating their own little "means to an end". DCI Photography is one of those rare souls behind a photostream whose images are born from an intimate relationship with, and a good understanding of both the "means" and the "end" of "things photographic". His love of creating and experimenting with both the means (the camera) and the end (the photographs) is a truly refreshing thing. You have rekindled in me some of the rewarding satisfaction I first experienced as a "hands on" photographer when starting out over 40 years ago. Thanks for the inspiration, as well as being a challenging and creative example of a well-rounded, and talented photographer.
