The Dynamic City Foundation (DCF) is a Beijing based non-profit research platform investigating China's rapidly changing urban landscape. We make architecture, art-installations, movies and do urban research. This is our image database. A large amount of the pictures is obsessive cataloging of streets, buildings, people, objects and other features that define the changes of the Chinese cityscape.
Some of our designs and proposals are available here. A complete overview with background, research papers and our utopian (read dystopian) models for the year 2020 are available on our forum of "BURBs" or on-line magazines. The first one is now published titled THE CHINESE DREAM.

This is genuinely important photography. This is genuinely important. This IS photography.

True, there are a lot of pictures. Quite a few will seem generic images of Chinese streets, buildings, objects and interiors, but the sequences tell an amazingly detailed story of China today. And many truly stunning shots can be found throughout. These pictures have become like a section of life, or an urban fly-through. The architectural designs and art works for which these pictures seem to form the research are even more astounding. These architects have done their homework! Make sure to check it out....!
