I have been lucky enough to call Dick a friend here on flickr, and am always astounded by his images - they're always incredibly rich and lyrical...sometimes moody and forlorn, sometimes deep and mysterious, but always they seem to have a fascinating narrative. While his landscapes are breathtaking, and his still life work is equally evocative, some of my favorite shots on flickr are from his night work where the saturated palette and warm glowing lights bring me right there with him to the Netherlands....in fact anyone who has ever wished to see the Netherlands, should take a trip through Dick's photostream, and see this beautiful place through his eyes.
