Daniel's first camera was a simple pocket with which he documented his first field trip. Thus laid the foundation for his interest in photography. In 1999 he got a used analog SLR camera including some lenses, however artistically valuable photos were not taken yet, simply because at that time he wanted to create fast and easy documentation photos.

 

With the owning of his first digital camera in 2001, he started to built his passion for creating images as well as the new technology. Through continuous development and the desire for more artistic photos, Daniel decided to go back to the roots, and has since worked mainly with his Leica M2, Fuji X10, Sony's Nex with various lenses and a Contax T2. With fewer adjustment and maximum concentration on the subject, he can implement his ideas better. From a prior focus on nature photography his works today feature a much wider array.
