THE RANDOM ACTS OF MAIL ART PROJECT
what
The Random Acts of Mail Art Project seeks to use the services offered by the post office as a method of distributing art; art that is delivered to your mailbox. Something that fits in your hand.
why
The objective of this project is to reach out to those creative types who appreciate handmade works and to broaden the audience who might. Nothing is expected in return; it is simply a small creative gesture meant to cut through the digital noise of daily life.
who
Anyone can be a recipient of an Artisanal Postcard. Please send snail mail addresses here. All addresses are kept confidential and will not be sold. In an effort to keep it “random,” your name will not be revealed to the recipient. International addresses are welcomed.
when
Artisanal Postcards are made and sent a few times a month.
how
Artisanal Postcards are recycled art materials; papers and photographs collected by the artist over a lifetime of making. An educator now for 15 years, abandoned art projects are also collected from the studios (instead of throwing them away) and “reclaimed” through collage.
