I've managed to make it to middle age and about the only thing that has not changed over the years has been my love of photography. The move to digital has been very liberating for me. It is so much easier to delete the bad images than it ever was to discard prints and negatives.
My wife and I live in a small town in the middle of Washington state. The climate is desert and we are about 10 miles out of town in the sagebrush. There are many opportunities for outdoor/nature photography, proivided you do not mind working with brown as the predominate color of most of your images.
Chores with horses keep us fairly close to home, but we travel to the mountains and to events throughout the area. A lot of what I shoot comes from having a camera with me most of the time. Rather than annoy friends and family with constant picture taking of them, we have reached a pact - I don't take candid photos of them and they don't break the camera when I get the really good ones. (So, don't expect a lot of people shots from me.)
I really enjoy working with graphic and computer art, too. Exploring various kinds of fractals is a current fascination. The images you can get a pretty cool, if you take the time to find them.
For anyone who has read this far, I can only assume you are interested in how I see the world. In all probability, I do not see it the same way as you. There is something different with my color vision. I suspect that it is a form of red-green color blindness, but since I seem to be able to see each of them, I am open to other explanations. But, if the color balance of a shot seems off, do not hesitate to tell me.
Hope you enjoy the offerings.
