My life on Flickr began in March 2004 with a Nikon Coolpix 2100 as fixBuffalo. I authored and blogged for 10 years (2004 - 2014) at the fixBuffalo blog. In 2017 I started this new Flickr account.

I started shooting with the Fuji X-Pro1 in 2014 after reading Charlene Winfred's 2012 review, here. I currently shoot with the Fuji X-Pro2 and the "Fujicron" f/2 - 23/35/50 - primes. My first lens, the 35mm/f1.4 goes everywhere. The kit lens that came with the X-Pro 1, the 18-55mm continues to surprise me with its capability and versatility.

In November of 2023, I sent my X-Pro2 to Fuji USA for repairs. They told me that it was too expensive to repair and offered me a Fuji X-Pro3 for $1600. I settled on a used X-T2 from MPB. I'd recommend them if you're in the market for used kit.

I bought the Ricoh GR3 in early 2025. It's become my daily carry. The files are rich, the lens requires a forced discipline, and the form factor is ideal. My other cameras are gathering dust.
