David J. Myrick, a kinetic personality, possessing a keen eye, and remarkable talent, is one of the newest uprising visual artists. By harmonizing rich, vibrant colors, artistic vision, and progressive lighting techniques his consummate style is achieved; although he is never one to shy away from classical simplicity. Whether it be photography or cinematography, David has created a style that captures the imagination with his unique artistic savagery.
His intrinsic skills were recognized in the year two thousand when he received the “California Art Scholar Award,”. In that same year he displayed his works at the prestigious Monterey Museum of Art Photo Exhibition.
Submerging his talents into the Hollywood culture has inspired his journey over various mediums, adding merits in an assortment of commercials, music videos, and award-winning photographs to his credit. More prominently, he was recently the Director of Photography on two award-winning feature length films:
His cutting edge photography originates from the highly artistic family in which he was raised. David was born in Northern California’s picturesque Monterey Peninsula to a family of photographers. His family owns the premier professional photography business on the peninsula, which catered to customers as diverse as Ansel Adams, Morley Bear, and John Sexton. This upbringing has naturally put David behind the camera most of his life.
The vision that David posses has taken his talents around the world. David has defined himself amongst today’s premiere photographers and continues his quest in capturing the world from the likeness of his own eye.
