Right I am David Carr age 39. I have a very basic grounding in film from my school days but I didn't start photography as a serious hobby until last year. March 2007 I purchased my first DSLR (Nikon D40)after getting frustrated with my wee point and shoot. I haven't looked back since. Now using a Nikon D200 with a variety of lens and have no intention to change bodies any time in the future.

I was born and bred in Ormiston, East Lothian and have spent all my live in the country apart from 4 years in Dundee studying for my MA in History. Job wish I am currently working my way up the ladder in retail. I do feel I am underachieving career wish however, I am happy.

Photography wish I am off the school that if I cant get the image right in the camera then I will not take the shot. I have tried doing more creative things with my images but at heart its not for me. Post processing I keep to a minimum and involves devloping the RAW files and now and again a black and white conversation.
