My personal background is a perfect example of how the world is so interconnected in this present era. My father was born and raised in Massachusetts in a family that descends back to Northern Ireland¡Ùs potato famine. Therefore my last name is "Gardiner." My dad traveled to Ecuador to work with the Peace Corps, where he met my mother, who is a strong woman of Inca and Spanish descent, consequently my other name "Garcia." My father's work has forced him to live all over the world, and that is how he ended up in Costa Rica where I was born. So I consider myself a Costa Rican with a US passport.

 

I am currently living in Brooklyn Ny and finishing a masters degree in Photography from long island university.
