I have always been something of a photographer (from the age of about 8 anyway) - not always a good one either! In my time I've dabbled in most types of photography and even went semi-pro for a while...

I currently class myself as a keen amateur, though due to health & wealth issues I am far less able to get out to take pics than I would like.

Have to say that I find landscape photography to be my lifelong favourite field, though as you will see from my photostream I still dabble and certainly enjoy many other areas of photography (but at the moment I hardly have the gear necessary to fully indulge myself - something I'm sure everyone can relate to!).

Warmfield Morning

To look at more of my favourite pics, take a look at the set entitled My Favourite Five.

I've had two great gaps in my photographic life - spanning a few years each, and I am only now beginning to get back into photography again after co-opting my late dad's Nikon D50!

My old cameras were of not much use, and In the past I've gone through quite a few, but I still have my old, old, Ricoh XR-X that was an exam reward from my parents. Looking to upgrade for christmas or my birthday. I hope for a D700, but I'll not hold my breath...

Most often I can be found (photographically speaking - and probably otherwise) with my best friend Kevin - here on flickr known as Osgoldcross. We've really taken a liking to HDR - though we nearly always strive for some level of realism and have started a group for those of us who take Handheld HDR images.

Update: I've been robbed - all my camera gear taken. Gits.

Thankfully my best mate stepped into the breach so-to-speak and has let me have his old-er camera, an Olympus 4/3 e420. It's great! - though perhaps a bit small for me and with arthritis and no grip (either myself or the camera) I fear I might drop it... Nevertheless it and I are holding up and hoping to get the chance for more photography.

There are not many people in life that you can call true friends, I have a true friend with a big heart and bags of photographic talent, Just take a few moments to look at the wide range of David's work and you will realise just how good he is. David has always been there for me through thick and thin and I thank him for his time and patience with my own limited photographic talent, you will not find a more genuine person than David. Thanks Mate (Your true friend Kevin)
