I live near Durham with a passion for life long learning, cats, dogs, edwardian and victorian architecture, stained glass especially late Victorian and Arts and Crafts. For most of my life I've carried a camera around mainly to capture a historical record of the ordinary that through time becomes elusive.

I'm particularly interested in the way our surroundings change radically under our noses in a comparatively short time due to movement in industry, markets and lifestyles: hence piecing together the past from old photos is an attraction.
