Founder Dave Allen is largely rehabilitated from the soulless and mediocre corporate career he knew in Silicon Valley just a few short years ago. Having forgotten how to tie a necktie, he now sometimes wears short pants to work for months at a time for no particular reason.

Often shocked by the world he finds himself in, Dave has learned it is best to just avoid “the news” altogether - particularly anything to do with national politics. He draws his artistic inspiration from nature, honest natural materials and excellent design where ever he finds it; be it in a Malaysian village, at a Belgian floral exhibition or at the plumbing supply store.

Frequently referred to as an artist, Dave at first resisted this label, but has come to embrace it as a convenient cover for all sorts of bizarre and irresponsible behaviors.

When not traveling or in protective custody, Dave hides out in his shack (Casa Kaczyinski) in the woods west of Napa and divides his time between hellish introspection and silent outrage. He also practices yoga on the back deck, speculates about the merits of various Unified Field Theories, and stares for long hours into the trees as the poison oak slowly engulfs his beloved creekside cabin.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Dave remains single.
