let your imagination flow, do what you love, don't worry about it.
if you have a way for me to post a picture without joining the group, i will. but i'm in to many groups to keep track of. do you have a add to group button?
disclaimer,
my pics are not photography, let's just call them mind's eye images, works in progress. anything goes. no rules.
WARNING: not always, but fairly often, i block people who are faving my photos if they do not have a personalized buddy icon and/or a site with profile or photos of their own.
PAINTING TECHNIQUE
thanks all very much. if you keep seeing the same pics over and over, it's because i'm still learning what i like and i keep messing with them. life long messing.
someone said, "an artist has to know when to stop."
doesn't mean he cant renew.
my method is to shoot everything, crop later.
how do i do my photopainting? since you asked, i use so many different techniques. there is no one recipe. i use anything in photoshop i can think of.
i use PS.5 and Topaz filters. i use images with hue and saturation altered,
--- i use PS reduce noise filters to smooth things out. noise median makes a nice blur effect. some pics react differently using the same effect.
then i tweak here and there till i like it. you just have to experiment till you find a combo that works for you. hope this helps.
i play a lot of "what if i do this? or that? and see what happens to the pic i'm doing."
I USE Alien skin Snap Art & Topaz, and now Pixel Bender. effects layered on top of each other and added to over time. and whatever works. My latest work is pixel bender
oil for the smooth effects.
a lot of my work is a "happy accident".

The MASTER of colors. a GREAT artist !!!
Dave is an amazing artist. His eye for color and his "painterly" style always catch my attention. I return to his work over and over and find some of my all time flickr favorites in his photo stream.
