Thanks for your visit and interest in my photography. I'm an ecologist living in Devon, England, with my wife (Tracey AG) and two daughters.

I’ve been interested in photography for as long as I can remember, principally as a means of recording my interest in natural history, particularly birds, invertebrates, plants and landscapes/habitats (especially uplands, heathlands, grasslands and the coast), and my travels (Europe and rest of the world) [click for quick links to my corresponding albums/collections]. My photostream is a bit of a chaotic mix of new and old so, if you're interested in specific things, it may be easiest to look through my albums/collections.

My first ‘real’ camera was a Zenith E, as a teenager in the mid-70s, followed by an Olympus OM10. Most of the scanned images I’ve uploaded were taken with an Olympus OM2 and some with a Canon EOS300. Buying an Olympus digital compact C-5000 Zoom in 2004, together with a young photogenic family and then finding Flickr, rekindled my interest in photography and led to most of the more recent images I’ve uploaded, mostly taken with Olympus DSLRs or iPhones.
