Hi, I'm Dave.

I'm not a professional photographer, I just like taking photos, particularly birds and landscapes.

Having viewed many Second Life pages I've decided it's not for me. I've unfollowed the ones I was following and won't be following any others. I still recognise the skill involved but it's just not for me.

I've created a couple of groups, SIGMA 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 CONTEMPORARY, and THE FAMOUS RIVER TWEED, and I've not set any rules other than to stay on subject. Post as many photos and as often as you like.

I only started about 4 1/2 years ago (spring 2014). My favourite subjects are birds and other wildlife, landscapes and anything which catches my eye.

All of my photos are taken, handheld, while walking my dog. This explains why my photographs are almost exclusively of Peebles and the surrounding area. I must make the effort to widen my horizons.

I'm 71 (2019), have suffered from clinical depression for 21 years, and my memory and organisational skills are poor.
