ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY

 

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Flickr photostream.

 

I'm an amateur photographer based in the UK with interests in urban and street photography, architecture, landscapes, macro and the occasional wildlife subject. Photography has long been a passion of mine, combining artistic creativity with technical discipline. Although it has to fit into the margins of a very busy life, it provides a welcome sense of balance and remains a continuous process of learning, with every photograph—successful or otherwise—teaching me something new.

 

Over the years I've stopped believing that a better camera will automatically lead to better photographs. Instead, I've learned that improvement comes from seeing more creatively, spending more time with the camera and simply making more photographs. Since 2023 I have photographed exclusively with the Micro Four Thirds system, choosing equipment that encourages me to carry a camera more often rather than leave it at home. For the way I enjoy photographing, it offers an ideal balance of image quality, portability and versatility.

 

Many of my photographs are organised into albums by camera body and lens. My intention is not only to share images, but also to provide practical, real-world examples for photographers researching Micro Four Thirds equipment and considering what it is capable of achieving.
