My personal mission is to post one picture on Flickr a day, so I can keep photography on my mind more often, plan more opportunities to shoot, and become more decisive at choosing my best work.

I’m a self-taught photographer who spent many years of my college career as the student-run newspaper’s director of photography. Now out in the “real world” and working primarily as a copy writer, it’s easy for photography to get pushed to the side.

I enjoy connecting with the many talented photographers on here, both local and distant, and seeing all the great work they put out so regularly. I’m also interested in Flickr for its potential to be a forum for real, substantive critique of each other's work. Comments like "great shot!" are certainly nice gestures and welcomed encouragement, but there is also the opportunity to provide more thoughtful feedback on the work of others.
