'Mostly beard'

I photograph things, amateurishly. Sometimes I make genially snide comments.

Years ago I joined Flickr as a way to post pictures of the things I like to grow and share my successes and failures. In this you'll see pictures of plants, food, cats and whatever I'm reading at the time - as well as the occasional gratuitous picture of myself. I grow mostly orchids and gesneriads, with the occasional succulent.

I have an odd sense of humor and an attraction for life's absurdities, so don't be surprised if I make some comment that has you scratching your head until you catch the reference. Don't worry, you will...

Needless to say, if you make me a friend I'll (usually) do the same. Have some pictures (as in original pictures) of your own, please. If you don't have any pictures, I won't block you-but I won't necessarily add you as a contact.

Irritating comments with excessive graphics will be deleted and those people who have no clue about courtesy will be blocked. There are some people who have no tact whatsoever.

People who have stolen my pictures here will be blocked immediately. That's just wrong.

If you'd like to use my astonishingly amateurish pictures, feel free to ask. For those who've grabbed my pictures for commercial purposes, you can at least ask before taking. Or, perhaps, throw me a percentage of the profits?
