Dash "2000" was born on March 9th in Glendale California.

While still in Junior High School, Dash discovered the emerging movement of Hip Hop. Which served to influence his work as a graphic designer, painter pioneering in graffiti art, and by his own accounts "a terrible break dancer.”

In 1992, after 6 years of being a full time graffiti artist, Dash semi retired to pursue a higher education in art and later in computer science.

Through the 90's, Dash worked as a graphic designer and full time computer programmer for countless start up companies. While continuing to draw and produce work privately, he resigned from showing publicly. Until being the victim of a violent shooting in 1999, pushed him to reevaluate his artistic commitment.

After recovery, Dash found a new purpose and outlook on the importance of Art. He since than, has painted murals across the world. Including Japan, Thailand, France, and Australia. In addition to murals, he discovered the art of pyrography in 2006.

Dash has been featured in many group shows, 4 major books, and countless magazine publications. He creates in his studio in Santa Monica, California.
