My father bought me my first proper camera when I was 9, a Kodak Retinette which neither of us had a clue how to use, but I loved the smell and feel of it, the leather, metal and glass. I reverted to the old Kodak Brownie. My first slr arrived when I was 13, I did understand it by then and still loved the leather metal and glass. At 18 I went to Art School in Bournemouth to study Photography. I subsequently worked in advertising eventually specialising in interiors, roomsets and still life from my own studio.
I have now given up the studio and am now concentrating on landscape and nature. The project that I have been working on, Ancient & Remarkable Trees of The New Forest' has been exhibited in 2018 and there will be further exhibitions in 2019, 2020 and 2021. I am also working on a book of the same name.
