About Darn Good Yarn…

… and why crafting with fun, earth and people friendly yarn is important to us

Darn Good Yarn got started in early 2008. Nicole Snow, who imported for two years prior through her other business Around the Om was bringing in skeins of recycled silk yarn for herself in her shipments because she was just learning how to knit and the recycled silk she got her hands on was pretty cool. The selection “out there” didn’t really appeal to her nor did the prices. The quality varied and the customer service lacked. She had a “There’s got to be a better way” moment and Darn Good Yarn was formed providing the cool, unique and exotic yarns, accessories and kits around. There is something so cool about handspun ecofriendly yarns. Luckily, her husband Mike has been nothing of a support and keeps the motivation up! He’s the best!

Our goal is to provide you with great customer service and help you explore new yarns. The possibilities, your creativity and Darn Good Yarn…
