John Tyler Curtis is an editorial and culture photographer based out of Los Angeles and Chicago. As long as crocodiles aren't sitting next to him, he will travel anywhere in the world in any manner to get the shot.

Tyler went to Indiana University to study theater, film and oil painting. The camera came 12 years later after meeting some well-known photographers whose lives seemed much more exciting than his at the time. He has never stopped shooting since that fateful encounter in the summer of 2005.

Besides delivering stunning imagery for the most discerning of major clients, he is also the creator and operator of www.darkroodemons.com - a cutting edge photoblog, which has traveled around the world capturing the best in parties, music, people and fashion.
